Job summary

UniTrust Protection Services (UK) Ltd is seeking a Core Security Officer/Host for a client site in Milton Keynes. You will be the first point of contact for staff and visitors, liaising with the client and security team to maintain a safe and secure environment.

The role requires flexibility to cover a mixture of day and night shifts, with extended hours (about 60 per week) and duties including site access control, patrols, incident reporting, and responsive security procedures to protect

Responsibilities

• Conducting searches when required by both schedule and ad hoc.
• The maintenance of good order on site, including the protection of everyone therein against violent acts, abuse and accident.
• The protection of the client’s property against loss, theft, damage (including fire and water) and waste.
• The protection of private property belonging to the client, their staff and visitors against loss, theft and damage.
• Prevent offences against the law of the land, UniTrust disciplinary codes and policies and ensure all are brought to the attention of the management.
• Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are clear.
• Undertake internal and external patrols and inspections in accordance with Assignment Instruction/SOP’s.
• Utilising the patrolling and reporting system where applicable.
• Working with the reception team meet and greet visitors and ensure relevant security procedures are carried out.
• Some standing (for more than one hour) may be required.
• Escalating any issues security and maintenance related issues to the Facilities Team by detailed and accurate emails/incident reports.
• Production and administration of access cards for tenants, visitors and contractors for the access control system.
• Monitor, escalation and respond to alarms as required with the CCTV, Security & BMS systems.
• As a part of the Facilities Management Response Team, provide, assistance with emergency procedures in accordance with instructions and training.

• Hours: Mixture of days and nights covering Monday - Friday. Average of 60hrs
