Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Security Officer in Melton Mowbray. You will protect people, property and assets while delivering excellent customer service, upholding integrity, vigilance and helpfulness. A fully licensed Security Officer will support operational requirements and respond to incidents.

From day one you’ll gain access to development opportunities and benefits, with dayshifts on a 4 on 4 off pattern. This is a site-based role with £12.83 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence is required.
• Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
• Strong communication skills in English—written and spoken.
• Reliable transport.
• Experience in a gatehouse environment.
• Ability to work alone.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site security and prevent unauthorised access.
• Conduct patrols, monitor alarms, and manage site keys.
• Control visitor access and maintain accurate records.
• Support health and safety procedures and report incidents.
• Assist during emergencies and ensure a safe environment for staff, visitors, and contractors.

As a Security Officer, you will protect people, property, and assets while delivering excellent customer service. A fully licensed Security Officer will support operational requirements and respond effectively to incidents when needed.
