Job summary

The Supply Register is recruiting Security Officers to support New College Durham. This temporary, ongoing role requires 37 hours per week with flexibility to cover shifts to keep the college secure 24/7.

Responsibilities include patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarms, incident response, and assisting with emergency procedures. Candidates should have GCSE English & Maths, security experience, CCTV knowledge, strong communication skills, and be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent.
• Experience undertaking security duties.
• Knowledge of CCTV and alarm systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
• Safeguarding checks will be carried out.

This is a great opportunity for experienced Security Officers with a background in security, facilities, public services, or related environments. The RoleAs a Security Officer, you will support the provision of a safe and secure environment across the college estate, helping to protect students, staff, visitors, and facilities.Key responsibilities include:

What We're Looking For
