Job summary

B&M Retail in Exeter is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to safeguard people, products and the store while delivering a welcoming customer experience. You’ll work closely with the Store Management Team to prevent loss, manage risk and uphold high safety standards.

The role is full-time and permanent, with shifts across daytime, evening and weekends to suit variety and responsibility. Join a busy Exeter store and contribute to a team that values integrity, teamwork and professional

Responsibilities

• Actively monitoring the store to identify, prevent and report incidents.
• Operating and reviewing CCTV systems in line with company policies.
• Supporting the enforcement of Health & Safety procedures.
• Conducting investigations into stock loss, theft and fraud.
• Engaging with customers and colleagues to resolve situations calmly and effectively.

Are you a confident and professional Retail Security Officer? Do you enjoy safeguarding people, products, and store environments while delivering a welcoming customer experience?

Join our team in Exeter and make a real difference!

In this role, you’ll be trusted with responsibility and play a vital role in safeguarding the store. Working closely with the Store Management Team, you’ll help prevent loss, manage risk and maintain high standards of safety and professionalism.

This is a full-time, permanent role with flexibility to work across daytime, evening and weekend shifts - ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and being an integral part of the store team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Actively monitoring the store to identify, prevent and report incidents
• Operating and reviewing CCTV systems in line with company policies
• Supporting the enforcement of Health & Safety procedures
• Conducting investigations into stock loss, theft and fraud
• Engaging with customers and colleagues to resolve situations calmly and effectively
