Job summary

Security Officer needed for a leading UK energy and logistics provider in Stanford-le-Hope. You will monitor CCTV, control access, patrol sites and ensure safety and security across operations, with opportunities for development and strong customer service.

Role requires an SIA licence, UK work rights, and flexibility to work nights. You will contribute to safeguarding people and assets while upholding integrity and vigilance in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
  • Conduct internal and external site patrols.
  • Control access to premises and manage vehicle movements.
  • Carry out routine security checks and maintain logs.
  • Issue passes to visitors/contractors.
  • Provide guidance and information to staff, visitors and contractors.

Pay: £13.12 per hour
Hours: 42 hours a week working 4 on, 4 off nights

Working for a leading UK energy and logistics provider, theSecurity Officerwill play a key role in protecting employees, property, and operational assets while ensuring the highest standards of safety and security are maintained. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrate professionalism at all times, and uphold core values of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness

Key responsibilities as aSecurity Officerwill include, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, conducting internal and external site patrols, controlling access to the premises, and managing vehicle movements and parking restrictions. The role also involves carrying out routine security equipment checks, managing keys and locking procedures, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all site security procedures are followed in line with operational requirements.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
  • Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
  • Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises

Qualifications
