Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Security Officer to work at NHS Golden Jubilee as part of a well-established team. You will carry out a full range of security duties as specified in the job description ensuring at all times that Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to for the safety of patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Operate in the control room monitoring CCTV systems.
  • Operate the card access system.
  • Undertake regular patrols of the site.
  • Carry out locking and unlocking duties and mail duties.
  • Address car park issues.
  • Assist in implementing the smoke-free policy.
  • Respond to incidents to de-escalate violence and aggression.
  • Fulfil other security duties as required.
Qualifications
  • No formal qualifications are necessary as the post holder will be given the necessary training to undertake the job.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships across a wide range of personnel are essential.
  • A working knowledge of security would be an advantage.
Working hours

The working hours are subject to change in line with the Golden Jubilee’s reduced working week. Hours to be confirmed: 07:00–14:42, 36-hour week.
