Impact Services is seeking a vigilant Security Officer for Edinburgh-area sites. The role focuses on creating a safe environment for staff, visitors and property, with duties spanning access control, CCTV monitoring and incident reporting.

You will operate across multiple sites within the City Centre area, working 40 hours per week, with day and night shifts on offer. A valid SIA license and CCTV certification are essential, with UK work rights required.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence – Door Supervisor/Security Guarding (Essential).
• Valid CCTV Licence (Essential). Driving Licence (Preferred).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Five-year checkable employment history or evidence of unemployment gaps.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Increase site security by maintaining a constant presence across the facility.
• Monitor alarms, test security equipment and prevent unlawful access.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance.
• Control access for staff, visitors and contractors while following health and safety procedures.
• Record hazards and unsafe practices and report them.

Job Overview

A Security Officer protects the safety of the premises while providing support, direction, and information to all employees, visitors, and contractors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Increase site security by keeping a constant presence across the facility
• Monitor alarms, protect the site against unlawful access and perform routine security equipment tests
• Monitor CCTV
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed while controlling the staff, visitors and contractors' access to the premises
• Record and report any hazards and unsafe working practices
• Where necessary, you will need to undertake the necessary legal restraints and control in a professional manner
• Able to deal with any incidents and the pubic
• Complete daily reports of any accidents or incidents and ensure the necessary action is taken
