Responsibilities

  • Deliver a professional security presence aligned with corporate standards.
  • Follow SOPs, Assignment Instructions, and Risk Assessments to maintain a secure site.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies, including fire, medical, and security events.
  • Safeguard personnel, visitors, assets, and infrastructure across campus.
  • Manage access and reception for staff, visitors, and VIPs.
  • Be a visible presence at access points, supporting efficient operations.
  • Conduct patrols to identify, assess, and elevate risks or breaches.
  • Operate CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
  • Produce accurate reports and support risk awareness and compliance.

Job description

As a Security Officer, you will operate within a prestigious financial environment, delivering a professional and discreet security presence.

You will play a key role in protecting people, assets, and infrastructure, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-controlled workplace.

With a strong focus on customer service, presentation, and integrity, you will create a confident and reassuring presence while proactively detecting, deterring, and responding to risks.

The Role
  • Deliver a professional security presence aligned with high-profile corporate standards
  • Follow SOPs, Assignment Instructions, and Risk Assessments to maintain a secure site
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies, including fire, medical, and security events
  • Safeguard personnel, visitors, assets, and critical infrastructure across campus
  • Manage access and reception, ensuring smooth experiences for staff, visitors, and VIPs
  • Be a visible presence at static and vehicle access points, supporting efficient operations
  • Conduct patrols to identify, assess, and elevate risks, threats, or breaches
  • Operate integrated security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control
  • Control room operations, including incident coordination, communications, and liaison with emergency services
  • Produce accurate reports and support a culture of risk awareness, compliance, and operational excellence
  • Proven corporate security experience, including control room operations, risk and threat assessment, and incident management
  • SIA Frontline Door Supervisor licensed and CCTV certified, with fire and building systems training
  • Meets strict vetting requirements: 5-year checkable work history, enhanced BS7858, and pre-employment criminal and credit checks
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Holds a valid 3-day First Aid at Work certificate
  • Physically capable of patrolling large areas and managing access points
  • Confident and professional when engaging with clients, visitors, staff, and contractors
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, fluent in written and spoken English
  • IT proficient: MS Word, Excel, PA systems, and integrated security platforms
  • Calm, decisive, and effective under pressure, with strong emergency response skills
  • Reliable, flexible, professional, with high standards of personal presentation
  • Committed to vigilance, situational awareness, and upholding safety, security, and compliance
