Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to monitor and secure client premises. You will record activities, control access, and perform regular patrols while maintaining professional conduct and safety standards on site.

The role requires an SIA license, the right to work in the UK, and the ability to interact with visitors and management at all levels. BS7858 screening and vetting will be conducted as part of recruitment.

• SIA license is essential.
• Computer literate with good observational skills.

• High standards of personal presentation.

Responsibilities

• Record vehicles, visitors and contractors and maintain site records.
• Monitor site visually and via CCTV; be familiar with CCTV and security systems.
• Carry out regular site patrols and inspections of client premises.
• Maintain a professional security presence on site.
• Fulfil health and safety responsibilities per company policy and plans.

About The Role

Shift Pattern: Varied, Site open shift 6am-3pm, 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm and Site lock up shift 10.30am-7.30pm

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to

• Recording of vehicles, visitors and contractors as well as all site activities maintaining accurate records and a site daily occurrence record
• Monitor site visually and via CCTV and be fully conversant with the CCTV and site electronic security systems responding to alerts and alarms as required
• Completing regular site patrols and inspections of client’s premises in accordance with the assignment Instructions
• To show a professional security presence throughout the site
• To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the company’s Health & Safety policy and Health & Safety Management plans

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria

• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
• You will be required to undergo screening and vetting (BS7858)
• SIA licensed essential
• Computer literate
• Able to interact at all levels from visitors to senior management.
• High standards of personal presentation
