The Post

We are seeking a proactive, highly skilled and experienced Security Manager to join our team within Brent Council. As a Security Manager, you will oversee the security operations for our council buildings, which are not limited to Libraries, Family Wellbeing Centres and our Civic Centre. Your responsibility will include maintaining a secure environment for staff, residents, and visitors, while ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards and policies.

The Person

  • Proven experience in a security management role, ideally within a public sector or local government setting.
  • Knowledge of security systems, risk management, and emergency response protocols.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective security policies and procedures in order to maintain compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, residents, and external agencies.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
