Information Security Lead - FinTech, AWS, GRC - 1-2 days a week in office - £75,000 - £85,000

An industry-leading FinTech company, revolutionizing how the world moves money, is seeking an Information Security Lead to play a pivotal role in embedding robust security controls, policies, and processes across their rapidly growing organization.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Information Security Lead to enhance cybersecurity posture, implement cutting-edge strategies, analyze potential breaches, and ensure compliance within a dynamic fintech environment. You will be instrumental in guiding engineering teams on application security and championing security by design across the entire technology stack. Reporting directly to the Head of Security in a small team, you'll have significant influence and exposure across all security areas.

Responsibilities of the Information Security Lead include:

• Building world-class security practices and controls within a high-growth financial technology business shaping the future of payments.
• Conducting vulnerability assessments, leading external penetration testing, and performing risk analysis to proactively identify weaknesses in applications, systems, and networks.
• Developing and maintaining security policies, processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Championing 'security by design' and leading threat modeling activities across products.
• Driving incident response planning and execution in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Partnering with Engineering, IT, and business teams to implement and improve security measures.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks like GDPR, ISO 27001, CCPA, and others.

Ideal candidate experience:

• Proven experience in Information and Cyber Security, especially Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), within high-growth tech environments.
• Broad understanding of cloud, application, infrastructure, and network security, particularly in AWS.
• Hands-on experience with ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
• Knowledge of payment security standards such as PCI DSS.
• Start-up or FinTech experience preferred.
