Job summary

International Logistics Group Ltd (ILG) is seeking a professional Security Guard (Reception Based) to join our team at Brackmills. This reception-based role places you at the front line, controlling site access and greeting visitors while ensuring security of the site.

You will monitor CCTV, maintain logs, conduct internal and external patrols, respond to incidents and alarms, and complete daily reports in line with security procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence required.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional and presentable appearance.
• Own transport is essential due to location and early start time.

Responsibilities

• Manage access and egress of staff, visitors and contractors.

Security Guard (Reception Based)

Location: Brackmills Industrial Estate, 26 Liliput Road, Unit A, Brackmills Gateway, International Logistics Group Ltd (ILG), Northampton, NN4 7PU

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour

Hours: 45 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 05:00 - 14:00

About The Role

We are currently recruiting for a professional and reliable Security Guard to join our team at International Logistics Group Ltd (ILG) in Brackmills. This is a reception-based security position where you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff and contractors while maintaining the safety and security of the site. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling site access, monitoring CCTV systems, maintaining accurate visitor and vehicle records, carrying out internal and external patrols, responding to incidents and alarms, and ensuring all security procedures are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing access and egress of staff, visitors and contractors
• Monitoring CCTV and reporting suspicious activity
• Operating the reception desk and providing excellent customer service
• Maintaining accurate visitor, contractor and vehicle logs
• Conducting routine site patrols
• Responding to incidents, emergencies and security breaches
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to
• Completing daily reports and security documentation
• Acting as a visible security presence across the site
