Job summary

Kepak Group Bodmin is seeking a Security Officer to patrol and secure premises, monitor surveillance systems, and control access points. You will report observations, assist with incident responses, and ensure safety compliance in a busy food processing environment.

Role requires proven security experience, with desirable SIA training and Level 2 Health and Safety knowledge. The position supports holiday and sickness cover and operates on-site in Bodmin.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Patrols premises and monitors access points to ensure security.

Kepak St. Merryn in Bodmin has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers' counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

Your own transport is required due to our location and the times of Public transport links to Bodmin

Purpose of the job role

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel
• Qualifications and Training
• SIA Approved training desirable
• Level 2 Health and Safety desirable

Main Responsibilities

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
• Obtains help by sounding alarms
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers
• Controls traffic by directing drivers
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls
• Maintains organisation's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Working Hours

This role is for Holiday & Sickness cover

Requirements

• Excellent surveillance and observation skills, Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems, Registered as a security officer
