Job summary

Kepak is recruiting a Packing Supervisor for the Beef Boning Department at Kepak Merthyr Tydfil. This full-time, permanent role runs from 6.00am Monday to Friday, reporting to the Production Manager.

You will lead Packing Hall Operatives, ensure adherence to client specifications and SOPs, maintain production pace and a clean, hygienic environment while developing team capability and delivering daily targets.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate and monitor compliance to PPE requirements, knife safety requirements, hygiene and quality standards, department SOPs and customer specifications.
• Maintain superior understanding and knowledge of customer specifications.
• Roll out specification/task changes to all Packing Hall Operatives ensuring full understanding and compliance.
• Allocate team resources to meet daily production targets.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet daily targets.
• Ensure product is of the highest standard and report issues to the Manager immediately.
• Familiar with daily production plan, working with team to set up line, completing checks and ensuring materials are ready to use.

Responsibilities

We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers' counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

We are currently recruiting for a Packing Supervisor to work in our Beef Boning Department in Kepak, Merthyr Tydfil. This is a full time, permanent position working from 6.00am - Monday to Friday.

Role Purpose

Responsible for all Packing Hall Operatives ensuring consistency and compliance to packing in accordance with client specifications and Company SOP's.
