Job summary

Fractile is building security-focused software for a hardware-software stack powering frontier AI. We’re seeking a Member of Technical Staff for Security Engineering in London or Bristol.

Hybrid, permanent role aimed at deep security judgement and system-level impact. You will work across bare metal, RTOS, and Linux to implement secure boot, root of trust, and trusted communications, collaborating with architecture and hardware teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with secure boot, root of trust, cryptography, and key management.
• Proven ability to design secure software for bare metal, RTOS, and Linux.
• Experience in threat-modeling and security across hardware and software.
• Strong C and Rust programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape security of the control chain across devices and racks.
• Design secure boot and root of trust per controller.
• Secure interconnects with authentication and integrity.
• Develop cryptographic mechanisms: key hierarchies and attestation.
• Ensure safe firmware updates with signed images and rollback protection.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to embed security.
