AE Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Field Engineer to support the dependable operation of security systems connected to Alarm Receiving Centres (ARCs). This role is suited to a technically confident professional who can take ownership of complex field issues, deliver high-quality installation and maintenance work, and provide practical guidance to colleagues and customers.
AE Partners is recruiting for a client responsible for security systems that support the protection and operation of High Voltage Assets. The work involves technologies that help monitor sites, detect security events and communicate alarms to operational teams. Reliability, resilience and careful technical practice are central to this environment, where systems need to perform consistently and faults must be addressed effectively.
As Senior Field Engineer, you will take technical responsibility for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding of ARC-connected security systems. These include CCTV, intruder detection, access control, alarm signalling and associated communications equipment. You will help ensure that receiving and communications systems remain secure, available and fit for purpose. You will also act as a senior technical point of contact for field engineers, customers and ARC operations teams. The role combines hands‑on engineering with technical support, clear communication and a focus on improving system performance. You will work independently across planned and reactive activities, managing work safely and maintaining accurate records of your findings and actions.
You will bring at least five years of experience in electronic security or a related technical field, with practical knowledge of CCTV, intruder detection, access control and alarm signalling systems. Experience supporting Alarm Receiving Centres or monitored security systems is important, together with strong diagnostic skills and an understanding of IP‑networked security and communications. You should be comfortable working independently, prioritising faults and providing technical leadership to other engineers. Clear communication and a customer‑focused approach are essential when explaining issues, coordinating work and offering guidance. Relevant manufacturer or security systems qualifications are desirable. A full UK driving licence is required for the field‑based responsibilities of the position.
The package includes a company vehicle or car allowance, plus access to a hybrid or electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme. Additional benefits include a pension with an employer contribution of up to 8%, 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, private medical insurance, an Employee Assistance Programme and a flexible benefits package. Wellbeing and volunteer days are also provided, alongside a personal development programme to support continued learning and career growth.
AE Partners and its client are committed to fair and inclusive recruitment. Applications will be considered on the basis of relevant skills, experience and suitability for the role. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of protected characteristics. Reasonable adjustments can be discussed during the recruitment process to support candidates who need them.
