Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Security Design Engineer to join our specialist security team. Based in London/Thames Valley with UK-wide project opportunities, you will lead electronic security design from site visits to final documentation, coordinate with sub‑contract designers, and ensure compliance with CDM and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with integrated security systems including Access Control, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, Audio Challenge and Intercom.
• Experience integrating systems into ARC/RVRC security management platforms.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and temporary works requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead site visits with the Head of Design and act as the main contact for sub-contract designers.
• Develop electronic security scope and technical specifications from site visits and 3D scans.
• Coordinate with sub-contractor design teams to refine scopes and review pricing, specs and submissions.
• Manage Tender Technical Queries (TQs) and maintain the TQ register.
• Support bids with technical documentation for tenders and orders.
• Ensure security procedures are followed on site and assist with accreditation documentation for the GT AI business.
