Job summary

SiXworks is seeking a Security Delivery Manager in the United Kingdom to lead security delivery across complex programmes. Reporting to the CISO, you will guide Programme Security Leads and embed security across delivery lifecycles.

You will shape risk-based decisions, manage dependencies, and drive secure-by-design practices with agile, DevOps, or hybrid delivery teams. A demanding, impactful role for security-focused leaders.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a cybersecurity or technology delivery environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels and navigate complex organisations.
• Experience of delivering security across large-scale programmes or portfolios.
• Broad understanding of cybersecurity domains, including risk, architecture, and engineering.
• Ability to balance strategic direction with pragmatic delivery and execution.
• Experience with delivery methodologies (e.g. Agile, DevOps, or hybrid models) and integrating security into them.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate security into business-relevant language.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and make risk-based decisions under pressure.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of security outcomes across programmes and initiatives; embed security effectively.
• Report to the CISO and guide Programme Security Leads.
• Escalate security delivery risks, issues, and dependencies across programmes.
• Build relationships with programme managers, technology leaders, and stakeholders.
• Oversee prioritisation and allocation of security resources across programmes.
• Drive secure-by-design principles across projects and programmes.
• Track and report security delivery metrics, risks, and maturity to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Security Architecture, Engineering, and GRC teams for alignment.
