Job summary

SiXworks in the United Kingdom seeks a Security Consultant to design, build and deliver secure digital solutions for Defence and National Security missions. You will collaborate with engineers, architects and delivery specialists to reduce risk and improve mission outcomes.

The role focuses on translating security risks into actionable plans, producing security documentation, and ensuring compliance in highly secure environments, with opportunities for professional development and security

Qualifications

• Experience with risk assessments using industry methodologies (NIST, ISO 27005).
• Ability to produce risk treatment plans aligned to security objectives.
• Experience supporting audits, control testing and evidence gathering.
• Translate security risks into business language for senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of MOD policies (JSP 440, 453/604, 892).
• Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD in secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver secure digital solutions in highly secure environments.
• Engage with engineers, architects and delivery specialists to enable faster, safer decision-making for critical operations.
• Produce security documentation to support system development (design considerations, risk assessments, management plans, policies).
• Collaborate with MOD Cyber Assurance/Accreditors to meet security objectives.
