Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Security Consultant in Hampshire, offering hybrid working with 2 days in the office. A salary between £50,000 and £55,000 is on offer.

The role focuses on delivering Cyber Essentials Plus and Defence Cyber Certification engagements, working directly with clients to assess and strengthen security controls. The successful candidate will be technically curious, engage with stakeholders, and help raise security standards across the team while benefiting from funded

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver cyber security assessments and assurance engagements
• Support Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments
• Conduct security reviews against ISO 27001 and other frameworks
• Review effectiveness of security controls
• Identify risks, gaps and improvements
• Produce clear reports and recommendations
• Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support remediation and continual improvement
• Contribute to assurance methodologies and best practices

Hampshire | Hybrid Working (2 days in office)

We're partnering with a growing cyber security consultancy that's building something genuinely exciting within its assurance practice. They're looking for a Security Consultant to support and deliver Cyber Essentials Plus and Defence Cyber Certification engagements, working directly with clients to assess, challenge and improve security controls.

What you'll do

• Deliver cyber security assessments and assurance engagements
• Support Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments
• Conduct security reviews against recognised frameworks including ISO 27001
• Review the effectiveness of technical and operational security controls
• Identify security risks, control gaps and areas for improvement
• Produce clear reports and practical recommendations
• Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support organisations through remediation and continual improvement activities
• Contribute to the development of assurance methodologies and best practices
• Share technical knowledge and support the development of colleagues within the team
