Job summary

DSTL is seeking a Strategic Workforce Planning and People Analytics Lead for a 6-month hybrid role, based in the UK with 3 days in Porton Down, Salisbury or Portsdown West. The role demands UK nationals with SC clearance eligibility to support defence and security initiatives.

You will lead the workforce plan, develop forecasts, run analytics, and provide evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders, while embedding governance and capability development across the organisation.

Qualifications

Demonstrable ability to link strategic goals with operational and financial information.
Experience across levels of the organisation, building trust and collaboration.
Ability to carry out multiple variable analyses (regression, factor, thematic).
Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to distil and present information.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivots, macros).
Understanding of the employee lifecycle and how indicators translate org health.
Degree or equivalent practical experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

Lead development, maintenance and publication of DSTL's Strategic Workforce Plan.
Develop workforce supply and demand forecasts and capability assessments.
Conduct scenario planning and workforce modelling to inform strategy.
Present recommendations to Executive stakeholders and support investment decisions.
Lead analytics capability, dashboards, reports and forecasting.
Improve data quality and reporting standards across the organisation.
Coordinate governance, RMOM implementation and workforce planning maturity.
