Job summary

Core Talent Recruitment seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of complex defence engineering projects in the UK. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, interface with customers and stakeholders, and ensure delivery is safe, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The role requires a proven track record in the full project lifecycle, strong leadership, and familiarity with defence sector security requirements and UK travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing the full project lifecycle, from concept to delivery and in-service support.
• APM qualification (or progress toward one) is preferred.
• Strong leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage a portfolio of complex projects, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Monitor performance, costs, schedules and risks; implement corrective actions where required.
• Conduct regular cost, schedule, performance and risk reviews.
• Identify resources required and secure them for successful delivery.
• Provide accurate project cost, resource and schedule information to stakeholders.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams with clear objectives and priorities.
• Communicate with senior management, customers and wider stakeholders.
• Establish a clear vision and delivery plan understood by all parties.
• Mentor and develop the project team and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Undertake other duties relevant to the position.
