Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Solution Architect to join our Digital Solutions team in the UK on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on shaping technical solutions for submarine maintenance programmes, collaborating with government clients and design teams to deliver secure and scalable outcomes.

You will be part of an expanding architectural team, contributing to medium to enterprise-scale projects with emphasis on security, governance and robust system integration. Flexible working patterns are available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical architecture and solution design using Sparx EA and ArchiMate.

Responsibilities

• Scope functional and non-functional requirements and translate into high-level designs.
• Define system components, integration points and data flows using modern technologies.
• Present and communicate designs to stakeholders through workshops, proposals and visual storyboards.
• Lead technical delivery, resolve complex issues, manage risks and coordinate with software partners for deployment.
• Ensure solutions align with architectural strategies and meet programme needs.
