Job summary

Sopra Steria Ltd is seeking Solution Architects to design and deliver secure technology solutions for high-security Defence projects. The role offers hybrid work with Salisbury or Portsmouth locations and requires Active SC clearance with eligibility for DV.

You will lead end-to-end designs, guide engineering teams, and ensure architectural soundness while embedding security throughout the lifecycle. This role demands strong collaboration with customers and stakeholders across secure

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of networks, IT infrastructure, Linux platforms or DevOps (experience across multiple is a plus).
• Experience in highly secure or classified environments (Defence, Government or security-sensitive sectors).
• Ability to design and deliver technical solutions and produce architectural documents with security and governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of technical solutions from concepts to deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership across projects and guide engineering teams.
• Produce and review high-level and low-level designs ensuring compliance with architectural standards.
• Collaborate with customers, SMEs and stakeholders to align designs with objectives.
• Embed Secure by Design principles across the solution lifecycle for secure environments.
• Support delivery planning, estimate technical effort, and manage risks and dependencies.
