Job summary

Synergize Consulting is seeking an experienced Subcontract Manager with security clearance to lead procurement and subcontract activities across Defence and Aerospace programmes. The role combines supplier management, contract negotiations and strategic supply chain work within an international context.

The position requires live SC clearance, strong experience in defence/aerospace procurement, and the ability to manage complex contractual relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement and subcontract management within Defence and Aerospace sectors.
• Strong understanding of commercial and legal contracting aspects.
• Knowledge of Life Cycle Management (LCM) processes.
• Experience managing supplier performance and contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with export controls and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and subcontract activities within integrated project teams.
• Manage subcontract spend, forecasting and reporting.
• Identify and develop new suppliers, including those supporting emerging technologies.
• Manage supplier performance and contractual relationships.
• Draft and negotiate complex commercial and contract documents.
• Translate customer and project requirements into commercial agreements.
• Manage commercial, contractual and supply chain risk.
• Ensure flow-down of customer terms and conditions.
• Develop procurement strategies across project lifecycles.
• Lead LCM contracts and supply chain deliverables.
• Manage export compliance and third-party rights.
• Support strategic bids and international programmes.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
