Job summary

Morela is hiring a Security Assurance Lead for a sovereign AI platform. The role is permanent, full-time, hybrid from Belfast or London, with SC clearance or eligibility. You will lead the assurance function across cloud, IT and AI capabilities, setting baselines and proving compliance through independent testing.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, IT and leadership, shaping security strategy and driving rapid, scalable assurance across delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNAPP tooling experience (e.g., Wiz) and cloud security delivery.
• Experience maturing assurance through ongoing monitoring and evidence.
• Familiar with ISO management systems and governance, risk & compliance.
• Knowledge of NIST frameworks and AI security controls (LLMs).
• SC clearance, or eligible to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver overall security strategy and build the assurance function.
• Set baselines for cloud, IT and product security; verify independently.
• Specify evidence testing needs and assure product pipelines.
• Embed security tooling across the full SDLC; improve processes.
• Test AI controls (prompt injection, agent permissions, guardrails).
• Produce AI risk assessments and posture reports aligned to ISO 42001 and EU AI Act.
• Support ISO 27001 and enterprise compliance systems.
• Champion good security practices across engineering teams.
