Job summary

Parkdean Resorts is seeking an Assistant Security Manager to lead a security team at Lower Hyde, Shanklin, Isle of Wight. You will support the Security Manager, train and mentor staff, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests from park entry onward.

The role requires an SIA license, a clean UK driving licence, and strong customer service, communication, and leadership skills. You’ll work in a fast-paced park environment with safeguarding and incident reporting responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Current SIA license (Minimum Door Supervision) & full clean UK driving licence (Manual Car).
• Excellent customer service skills & confident to communicate and influence.
• Ability to drive positive security culture within a team, and effectively help to manage and develop a team.
• Commercial awareness, with some ability to manage a budget and rota.
• Able to manage a high pressure, fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning resource levels to ensure the park has the required level of security.
• Utilising team members to effectively patrol the park, providing a deterrent and preventing situations where necessary.
• Ensuring compliance with security assignment instructions.
• Managing incidents and situation, ensuring correct escalation, and reporting.
• Managing security technology and CCTV.
• Using the on-park systems to review security Data.
• Carrying out full and unbiased investigations, providing detailed statements and reports, ensuring that all security activity has been recorded appropriately.
• Identifying security vulnerabilities and risks to the park.
• Liaising with local enforcement authorities for routine inspections and investigations.
• Attending Management and Regional Meetings to promote security awareness to colleagues when necessary.
• Promoting security awareness to colleagues.

Step into a key leadership role as our new Assistant Security Manager, where you’ll help guide a dedicated security team and play a vital part in creating a safe, welcoming environment for every guest. You’ll support the Security Manager day-to-day, while also helping to train, mentor, and elevate the wider team - ensuring our customers enjoy the very best experience from the moment they arrive on park.
