Job summary

DLA Piper is hiring an experienced Information Security Architect to lead secure cloud architectures across Azure, AWS and GCP and to guide projects as a security SME. You will design secure networks, systems and apps in line with regulatory requirements and drive guardrails for AI-enabled deployments.

The role requires 7+ years in information security with 3+ years in architecture, familiarity with NIST/ISO controls, secure SDLC and CI/CD security, and strong governance experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Information Security or IT, with 3+ years in an architecture-focused role.
• Experience with cloud security across Azure, AWS and GCP, Azure preferred.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001/27002, CIS Controls and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Knowledge of secure SDLC, DevSecOps, SAST/DAST and CI/CD security.
• Awareness of emerging threats and vulnerability research.
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Systems Management tools.
• Experience with Agile development processes.
• Proven track record in at least five areas: cloud security, governance, data governance, app/security development, IAM, endpoint/network security, monitoring, threat intel/automation, vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Advise projects as a security SME and design secure architectures for networks, systems, apps and cloud environments.
• Assess guardrails for AI agents with tool-use and autonomous actions; secure LLM deployments.
• Ensure data governance for AI training data, including PII redaction and data poisoning risk awareness.
• Define requirements, review solutions, and provide governance for implementations.
• Produce architectural artefacts: designs, standards, patterns, reference architectures.
• Supply security requirements into projects and RFI/RFPs; evaluate security tools and vendors.
• Drive improvements and support compliance through the security strategy.
• Mentor engineering/IT teams on secure design principles; support technical strategy.

Requirements:

• Experience demonstrating compliance with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS or GCP, with Azure preferred
• Experience with security frameworks including NIST CSF, ISO 27001/27002, CIS Controls and MITRE ATT&CK
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture principles
• Knowledge of secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices, including SAST, DAST, container/image scanning and CI/CD security
• Maintained awareness of emerging threats and vulnerability research
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Systems Management tools
• Familiarity with Agile development processes
• Demonstrable experience in at least five of the following areas: Cloud Security adoption and migration, governance, data governance, app and systems development security, asset management including MDM, identity and access management, network and endpoint security, logging/monitoring/retention, threat intelligence/automation/orchestration, configuration and vulnerability management
• Typically 7+ years experience in Information Security or IT, with 3+ years in an architecture-focused role
• Relevant certifications preferred, such as CISSP, SABSA, CCSP, CISM or cloud-specific security certifications

• Support projects and initiatives in an advisory capacity as a security SME

• Secure LLM and generative AI deployments, including prompt injection defences, output validation, data leakage prevention and model access controls
• Understand data governance for AI training data, including sensitive data handling, PII redaction and data poisoning risks

• Review proposed technical solutions to ensure they meet security requirements and provide implementation governance
• Produce and maintain architectural artefacts, including designs, standards, patterns and reference architectures
