Computappoint is seeking a Security Architect (Active SC-CLEARED) for a permanent, mostly remote role. You’ll lead security architecture across defence/government domains, govern accreditation, and drive secure-by-design reviews to meet regulatory requirements.

The role requires extensive GRC and accreditation background, experience in naval/armed forces or law enforcement contexts, ISO27001, TOGAF/MODAF and strong stakeholder communication, with minimum 3 years in a cyber security architecture

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Cyber Security Technical Architect or Security Architect role.
• Experience with GRC, accreditation, and secure-by-design reviews.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, TOGAF, MODAF.
• Experience in defence/security architecture within Naval/Armed Forces or Law Enforcement contexts.

Security Architect (Active SC-CLEARED) | Permanent | Mostly Remote

Salary: Up to £85,000 base

Location: Remote (UK) with occasional onsite attendance (approximately 1 day per week)

Security Clearance: Candidates must hold current SC Clearance

About the role: An established IT Security Consultancy is seeking an experienced Security Architect to join its growing cyber security practice who has extensive experience with defence/government security - Governance, accreditation, secure-by-design reviews, standards compliance, and risk management are critical alongside architecture design, helping organisations design, implement and maintain secure technology architectures that meet business, regulatory and security requirements. Experience working with military/naval protocols, Armed Force or police compliance frameworks is required.

The Role:

• Develop and implement cyber security and architecture patterns.
• Translate client requirements into secure, technology-based solutions.
• Provide expert advice on technical and operational security controls.
• Lead complex cyber security solution deployments for new and existing clients.
• Significant GRC components implementation and accreditations.
• Produce and own High-Level Design (HLD) documentation.
• Contribute to security architecture governance, technical design reviews and security standards development.
• Support project delivery plans, risks, issues and strategic security initiatives.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and guide secure solution design.
• Strong understanding of security architecture principles, secure operations and industry best practices.
• Extensive experience with GRC, Accreditation background, and overall Cyber Security solutions consultancy
• Must-have experience working in Defence security Architecture within Naval, Armed Force or Law Enforcement sector
• Excellent written, verbal and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and deliver to deadlines.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a Cyber Security Technical Architect or Security Architect role.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, OWASP, TOGAF, MODAF and related security frameworks.
