Job summary

Booker is seeking a Security Analyst to protect and maintain systems across the branch network. The role is hands-on within the Booker Technology Security team, covering Linux servers, Android devices, POS systems, and other branch tech. You will partner with Technology and Operations to strengthen controls and governance, including PCI DSS awareness.

You will learn about security governance, risk management and incident response while contributing to a large-scale retail tech ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting Linux-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and monitor security patching and software upgrades across branch systems.
• Review security scan results and support remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Monitor software versions and ensure systems remain within supported lifecycles.
• Investigate and resolve issues affecting system security, stability and availability.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of security controls across the Booker estate.
• Maintain accurate asset inventories and technical documentation.
• Support security and technology projects, delivering agreed outcomes to time and quality expectations.
• Work collaboratively with technology, operational and supplier teams to support business needs.
• Follow change management, security and governance processes.
