Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking an Associate for its Securitisation and Structured Finance team in London. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of domestic and cross-border transactions and the opportunity to work with major financial institutions, issuers, arrangers, originators, investors and asset managers.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced partners on technically sophisticated deals across asset classes such as CLOs, RMBS, warehouse financings, derivatives and regulatory

Qualifications

• 2–6 years PQE in securitisation or structured finance.
• Strong drafting and transactional skills.
• Solid understanding of capital markets and structured products.
• Ability to manage transactions with increasing independence.

• Assist on public and private securitisations and asset-backed financing.
• Contribute to CLOs, RMBS, covered bonds and structured note programmes.
• Work with partners on cross-border transactions and regulatory capital structures.

Job description

A leading international law firm is looking to recruit an Associate into its highly regarded Securitisation and Structured Finance practice in London.

The team advises major financial institutions, issuers, arrangers, originators, investors and asset managers on a broad range of sophisticated domestic and cross-border structured finance transactions. The practice combines strong technical expertise with a commercial approach and has been involved in a number of innovative and first-of-their-kind transactions in the European market.

The Role

The successful Associate will gain exposure to a broad and varied mix of securitisation and structured finance work, including:

• Public and private securitisations


• Asset-backed financing transactions


• Warehouse financings


• CLOs and RMBS


• Covered bonds


• Structured products and structured note programmes


• Derivatives and repackagings


• Regulatory capital and financing structures


• Cross-border structured debt transactions

The practice works across a diverse range of underlying asset classes, including trade receivables, auto loans and consumer finance, providing Associates with the opportunity to develop experience across different products and transaction structures.

Associates will work closely with experienced partners on technically sophisticated transactions while developing increasing responsibility for transaction management and direct client relationships.

About you

The team is interested in speaking with Associates with between 2 to 6 years’ PQE who have previous experience within a recognised securitisation or structured finance practice.

You will demonstrate:

• Strong transactional and technical drafting skills


• A good understanding of structured products and the wider capital markets


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• The ability to manage transactions and workstreams with increasing independence
