Job summary

Rise Technical in Gloucester is seeking an experienced Telecoms Radio Engineer to lead discovery, design and delivery of secure, scalable telecoms solutions across critical infrastructure sectors in the UK.

The role focuses on LoRaWAN LPWAN, LTE and NB-IoT technologies, acting as Technical Authority and driving architecture choices with stakeholders while ensuring governance and security standards are met. Excellent technical ownership is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with LoRaWAN (LPWAN), LTE and NB-IoT technologies.
• Experience in secure/regulated/CNI environments.
• Strong networking, routing and switching knowledge.
• Eligible for SC clearance with stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Authority for telecoms and radio technologies.
• Lead discovery and requirements gathering across LPWAN, cellular, and radio environments.
• Design and deliver secure, scalable telecom architectures for critical infrastructure.
• Implement and optimise LoRaWAN, LTE and NB-IoT end-to-end.
• Produce high- and low-level designs and ensure governance compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to support projects.
