Yorkshire Building Society is seeking a Solutions Architect to shape the security direction of key technology investments. You’ll ensure solutions are secure by design and aligned to risk requirements, delivering resilient, trusted services for our members and colleagues.

As a Solutions Architect, you’ll translate business needs into secure, scalable designs, provide architecture guidance across projects, and collaborate with engineering and business teams to embed security principles throughout

Qualifications

• Proven experience in solution architecture, with a focus on security, risk management or secure technology design.
• Strong understanding of security architecture principles, governance frameworks and technology controls.
• Knowledge of architectural patterns, distributed systems and modern technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable solution designs aligned to enterprise strategy.
• Provide security architecture guidance across projects and change initiatives, ensuring risks are identified and managed effectively.
• Collaborate with business, engineering and technology teams to embed security principles into solution design and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with architectural standards, governance requirements and security best practices.
• Support regulatory and risk objectives through robust architectural decision-making and design assurance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and security capabilities to strengthen organisational resilience and technology outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of architecture standards, patterns and reference models that promote secure-by-design delivery.
