Secure Services Receptionist

A great opportunity has arisen to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking Secure Services Receptionist (15 hours) to our existing team at our Adult Secure Unit. We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, has a pleasant telephone manner, is able to work using their own initiative as well as working within a small team with the ability to cope during busy times. Working between the two Adult Secure Units on Tatchbury Mount, in this role you will be the first point of contact for all service users, staff and visitors to the Units and will be responsible for responding to all telephone enquiries appropriately.

Under the supervision of the Reception Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of a quality customer care service and will provide effective and efficient functioning of the safety and security systems within reception.

You will be expected to portray yourself in a manner which positively reflects the values of Trust and in a way, which will ensure that effective customer care exists with internal and external stakeholders.

Previous experience of working within a reception is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

Under the supervision of the reception manager and supervisor the post holder will be responsible for the provision of a quality customer care service to all visitors, employees and service users to Ashford and Southfield Units.

The post holder will be required to ensure that the integrity of the safety and security provisions are maintained and appropriate procedures are adhered to in the event of a security breach or safety related incident.

Act as the main point of contact for all visitors, members of the general public and visitors to the unit.

The post holder will provide effective and efficient functioning of the safety and security systems within reception

Act as the first point of contact for all visitors and service users to Ashford Unit and Southfield Unit as well as responding to all telephone enquiries appropriately, whilst portraying themselves in a manner which positively reflects the values of the organisation and in a way, which will ensure that effective customer care exists with internal and external stakeholders.

Due to the reception being the central monitoring point for all of the security systems, as well as being the hub of communication both within Ashford Unit and Southfield Unit and externally it needs to be constantly fully functioning. As a result of this the reception staff will be required to work a variety of shift patterns to cover, including weekends, on a rolling rota.
