Job summary

Robert Hurst Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Approved Electrician to work on a secure prison establishment. You will carry out electrical installations, including containment and fire detection system wiring, while adhering to strict security procedures and maintaining high workmanship standards.

Responsibilities include reading electrical drawings, wiring fire detection systems, and ensuring compliance with BS7671 regulations in a custodial setting, with a focus on safety and security

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician) required.
• EL1 Security Clearance essential.
• Standard DBS Certificate essential.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical containment systems (tray, basket, conduit, trunking).
• Wire and install fire detection and alarm systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and specs.
• Ensure work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
