Home Office Digital is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Risk Manager to lead the embedding of Secure by Design across the organisation, ensuring security risks are addressed early in the delivery lifecycle.

You will drive standardised security practices, manage risk reviews, and escalate projects requiring extra oversight. This role blends a strong governance focus with hands-on risk management and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Overseeing risk reviews and creating risk treatment plans.
• Planning and delivering project-level risk activities.
• Documenting audits and maintaining audit trails.
• Maintaining data integrity to support audits.
• Engaging with executives and stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Secure by Design is embedded across projects and programmes.
• Elevate projects with low security confidence for support or oversight.
• Promote standardized Secure by Design practices across portfolios.
• Encourage use of templates and checklists to apply Secure by Design.
• Incorporate Secure by Design into onboarding and governance processes.
• Liaise with teams to update processes based on lessons learned.
• Stay updated on Secure by Design developments and guidance.
