Job summary

Frontier Resourcing LTD in Farnborough, UK, is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement and secure Azure infrastructure for defence and national security projects.

You will lead Terraform-based deployments, containerise with AKS/ACI, and drive secure CI/CD pipelines while applying robust networking and RBAC controls. This hybrid role suits hands-on engineers in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in cloud engineering, IT infrastructure, cloud administration or DevOps.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS).
• Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Good understanding of Azure networking (VNet, subnets, DNS, VPNs, firewalls).
• Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python or Azure CLI.
• Understanding of cloud security principles, identity management and access controls.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, solve problems and analyse complex systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a technical engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• Develop and maintain automated deployments using Terraform.
• Deploy and scale containerised apps with AKS/ACI.
• Implement security controls including RBAC and Entra ID.
• Automate infrastructure using PowerShell, Python or Azure CLI.
• Support CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Monitor environments with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics; optimise performance and cost.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to implement secure cloud solutions.
