Job summary

Digital Skills ltd is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate secure cloud platforms within a highly regulated environment. You will own automated deployment pipelines, IaC, and scalable AWS infrastructure as part of agile delivery teams.

In this role you’ll mentor engineers, contribute to architecture decisions, and ensure platform reliability and secure-by-design practices across the project lifecycle. Active SC clearance is required for this position in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating AWS cloud environments.
• Proven experience with CI/CD tooling.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Background in Agile delivery.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in secure/reg environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure within AWS environments.
• Develop and operate automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Support containerised applications and platform services.
• Monitor, maintain and optimise cloud-based systems and services.
• Work closely with development teams to improve release processes and platform reliability.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud engineering best practices.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and platform improvements.
• Support agile delivery using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence across delivery teams.
