Qualifications

• Proven experience in setting out for highways, roads, and earthworks projects.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work across East Anglia.
• First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.

Red Sky Personnel are working with a long-standing contractor renowned for delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. We are currently looking for a Section Engineer to join their growing team on large-scale road schemes based in Suffolk, with wider works across East Anglia.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on role and wants to be part of complex civils projects, especially in the highways and infrastructure space.

What You'll Be Doing

• Overseeing setting out and site engineering activities across key sections of work
• Interpreting and working from construction drawings and specifications
• Liaising with site and project management teams to deliver works safely and efficiently
• Supporting junior engineers with mentoring and technical guidance
• Managing service plans, drawings, and issuing permits
• Ensuring high standards of quality control and contributing to the completion of as-builts
• Identifying commercial opportunities or potential risks on your section of work
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in setting out for highways, roads, and earthworks projects
• Proficient with Leica/Geomax and transferring information from AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of QA processes and ITPs
• First-class communication and leadership skills
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work across East Anglia
• First Aid at Work qualification is desirable
