About the role

As a Section Manager in one of our National Distribution Centres (NDCs), you'll lead and motivate your team of Partners, ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain within your area. Your role is to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time for our shops and customers, contributing to sales and profitability.

At a Glance

Hours of Work: 5 in 7 contract, involving weekend work. The successful candidate will work a rotating 6-week pattern, including 2 full weekends every 6 weeks. Shift pattern: 1 week of 06:00 - 14:00 and 1 week of 14:00 - 22:00.

Salary: £36,400 - £57,600 plus a 20% shift premium.

Role Type: 1 Permanent and 1 Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage team development, providing tools and support for success.
  • Align Partner resources with demand to maintain smooth operations.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with other departments and Partners to meet KPIs.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with Partners, encouraging ownership and growth.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain environment.
  • Stakeholder relationship management.
  • Change management experience in logistics.
  • Proficiency with IT systems (MS Office, Warehouse Management Systems, DLx, email).
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Flexibility to cover other operational areas as needed.
