Job summary

Park Cakes, a c£180 million bakery group, is seeking a Section Manager for the Oldham site to lead a production area on nights. You will drive quality, service and efficiency, and mentor Charge Hands while working within GMP and Health & Safety standards.

The role requires strong planning, team leadership and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. 38,243£ salary, with pension, holidays and staff benefits included.

Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate planning and organising of projects, tasks, labour and resources.
• Excellent communication and listening skills and computer literacy.
• Able to use initiative to achieve goals and targets.
• Experience of working within a manufacturing environment ideally food but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial KPI’s of the production area to an agreed standard.
• Ensure that production targets are met within agreed deadlines, making best use of resources and materials.
• Provide leadership and support to the Charge Hands, and manage and facilitate staff performance and development, ensuring the departmental structure and skills are developed to meet changing job requirements.
• Promote ‘Best in Class’ standards for Health & Safety, ensuring the company’s Health & Safety systems and policies are strictly adhered to.
• Effectively communicate at all levels on matters regarding quality, service, and people issues.
• Ensure that customers (internal and external) receive a high standard of service and the area is presented at all times at peak standard with auditors and customers.
• Develop staff training and liaise with the Bakery Manager.
• Drive improvements in GMP/Hygiene
• Participate and support cross-functional team working
• Support the Bakery Manager and Factory Manager as required

Job Profile

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Section Manager to work in one of our bakeries on Nights. You will be responsible for an area of the bakery. You will be required to work as part of a team to maximise the quality, service and efficiency at all times.

Hours

06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00 - 13:00 Friday

Flexibility around hours of work is required in order to accommodate business requirements as necessary.
