Job summary

Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join a major HS2 scheme in Buckinghamshire. The role focuses on delivering complex reinforced concrete and structural works on a flagship infrastructure project in Europe.

You will support structural delivery, manage site control, interpret drawings, and lead ITPs, quality records and as-built documentation while coordinating subcontractors and ensuring health and safety excellence on site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Section Engineer on major civil/infrastructure projects.
• Strong structures experience, esp. reinforced concrete, bridges or retaining assets.
• Experience with Tier 1 contractors.
• Excellent setting out and surveying skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• CSCS Card.
• SMSTS or SSSTS beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of structural and reinforced concrete works.
• Manage and maintain site control and coordination.
• Ensure works align with design drawings and specifications.
• Produce and review ITPs, quality records and as-built docs.
• Coordinate subcontractors and daily site activities.
• Raise and resolve technical queries and NCRs.
• Monitor progress against plan and report to Site Agent.
• Promote high health, safety and quality standards on site.
