Job summary

EDF is delivering Sizewell C and invites a Section Engineer to join the Enabling Works team. You will help plan, supervise, and report on civils activities under CWA for the Sizewell C project in Suffolk.

You will review safety, quality, and technical outputs, coach junior staff, and ensure drawings and permits are up to date. A strong site background in civil/electrical works is essential.

Qualifications

• Essential: electrical/engineering qualification and relevant site experience.
• CSCS card holder required.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification preferred.
• Desirable: professional accreditation (ICE, IHT).

Responsibilities

• Review method statements and risk assessments; implement improvements.
• Produce task briefing sheets and deliver associated briefings.
• Conduct field audits and verify control documentation sufficiency.
• Prepare and implement permits to work, including dig and hot works permits.
• Read drawings and specifications; ensure correct information is applied.
• Provide coaching to less experienced staff on technical requirements.
• Maintain as-built drawings and handover documentation; support QA.
