Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Section Engineer to oversee civils projects in a major infrastructure programme. You will manage setting out, QA, ITPs and engineering controls while leading site engineers across rail possessions and highway interfaces.

The role requires a rail/highways/civils background with soil nailing, piling, shotcrete or RC works as a strong advantage; PTS and CSCS are essential, and the candidate should stay organized under pressure and make solid decisions.

Qualifications

Experience as a Section Engineer or strong Site Engineer ready to step up.
Background in rail, highways or heavy civils; soil nailing, piling, shotcrete or RC works is a strong advantage.
PTS and CSCS are essential.
Good understanding of temporary works; experience with TWC or AP responsibilities is a plus.
Organised, steady under pressure and able to make decisions.
HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

Managing setting out, QA, ITPs, as-built records and engineering controls.
Leading site engineers and coordinating works across rail possessions, highways interfaces and specialist civils areas.
Working closely with designers and subcontractors to resolve technical issues quickly.
Supporting and reviewing temporary works, ensuring compliance with TWC/TWS processes.
Producing clear look-aheads, short-term plans and progress updates.
Maintaining strong safety standards and ensuring PTS requirements where applicable.
