Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Section Engineer to deliver engineering across rail and civils projects in Bristol. You will manage setting out, QA, ITPs and progress across multiple fronts, ensuring safety, quality and programme.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. The ideal candidate will have Section Engineer or senior Site Engineer experience in rail, highways or heavy civils, CSCS and PTS, and a degree in Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

Experience as a Section Engineer or strong Site Engineer ready to step up.
Background in rail, highways or heavy civils; soil nailing, piling, shotcrete or RC works is advantageous.
PTS and CSCS essential.
Good understanding of temporary works and AP responsibilities preferred.
Organised, calm under pressure and able to make decisions.

Responsibilities

Manage setting out, QA, ITPs, as-built records and engineering controls.
Lead site engineers and coordinate works across rail possessions, highways interfaces and specialist civils.
Work with designers and subcontractors to resolve technical issues quickly.
Review and support temporary works, ensuring TWC/TWS compliance.
Produce look-aheads, short-term plans and progress updates.
Maintain high safety standards and ensure PTS requirements where applicable.
