Fusion People are seeking a skilled Section Engineer for a contract in Longside, Aberdeen, running from 2026-10-19 to 2027-01-29. You will oversee complex setting out, ACPs, and safety compliance while tracking productivity and commercial outputs on a major site.

The role requires experience with setting out, ACPs, tolerances, and contract specs, plus strong HSE and permit systems knowledge. PAYE rate is £45/hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex setting out and supervision of setting out techniques.
• Experience producing Activity Control Plans (ACPs).
• Understanding of construction tolerances and contract specifications.
• Hazard identification and permit systems knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Engineering Control: carry out complex setting out and provide setting out control.
• Quality & Engineering: produce ACPs, reference specs, maintain quality records, raise NCRs and TQs.
• Health, Safety & Environment: produce method statements, risk assessments, temporary works briefs, inductions, manage accident reporting and permits.
• Productivity & Commercial: produce weekly programmes, measure progress against KPIs, monitor wastage and identify additional works and outputs.

Looking for a new career challenge?

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Section Engineer for an upcoming contract based in Longside, Aberdeen, running from October 19, 2026, to January 29, 2027.

In this role, you will play a key part in engineering control, quality management, health and safety compliance, productivity tracking, and commercial monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Control: Carry out complex setting out, provide primary setting out control, and coach subordinates in setting out techniques.
• Quality & Engineering: Produce Activity Control Plans (ACPs), actively reference specifications, maintain quality records, and raise Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Technical Queries.
• Health, Safety & Environment: Produce method statements and risk assessments, prepare temporary works briefs, conduct visitor inductions, and manage accident reporting and permit systems.
• Productivity & Commercial: Produce weekly programmes, measure progress against KPIs, monitor wastage against budget allowances, and identify additional works and subcontractor outputs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Location: Longside, Aberdeen
• Period: 2026-10-19 to 2027-01-29
• Rate: £45 an hour (PAYE only)
• Core Experience: Proven ability to carry out complex setting out, experience producing Activity Control Plans, understanding of construction tolerances and contract specifications.
• H&S & Commercial Competence: Strong working knowledge of permit systems, hazard identification, 13-week stage programmes, and key contract and subcontractor documentation
