Are you passionate about education and ready to support the success of young people in a vibrant secondary school setting? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Secondary Schoolin Llanelli from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with both mainstream pupils and those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), making a real impact across all areas of school life.
A popular, inclusive 11-16 secondary school at the heart of the Llanelli community. The school is known for its strong ethos of care, achievement, and respect, with a commitment to providing a safe, supportive and inspiring environment for every learner.
Staff work collaboratively to meet the needs of a diverse student body, including those requiring targeted ALN support. The school values resilience, ambition, and well-being-qualities it fosters in both its pupils and staff.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils in both mainstream and ALN classes, including in-class, small group, or 1:1 settings.
Assist with differentiated learning, helping pupils access the curriculum.
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in students.
Work alongside teaching staff and the school's ALN department to deliver inclusive learning support.
Help to create a calm, engaging and productive learning environment.
Experience working with young people, particularly in educational or care settings.
A calm, patient and flexible approach.
Confidence supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
Good literacy and numeracy skills; relevant qualifications or training are desirable but not essential.
A genuine passion for education and supporting learners to reach their full potential.
