Job summary

Heron Hall Academy seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across a range of abilities in a busy secondary environment. You will work closely with teachers, SENCO and pastoral teams to provide targeted help, build literacy and numeracy skills, and promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.

You will contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment where every pupil can grow in confidence and achieve their potential.

Qualifications

• Experience with secondary-aged pupils and ability to support individuals and small groups with varied learning needs.
• Good understanding of the secondary curriculum and how to support literacy, numeracy and wellbeing.
• Strong behaviour management and inclusive practice to promote a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils academically and personally to reach their potential.
• Work with teachers, SENCO and Inclusion teams to deliver targeted interventions.
• Assist in promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and inclusion across classes.
