Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to work in secondary schools across Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and looking to support students in a variety of classroom settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to teachers in delivering engaging lessons and ensuring the effective learning of students.
  • Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and materials.
  • Support individual students or small groups with their learning needs, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of support.
  • Help with the management of classroom behavior and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
  • Work closely with other staff to ensure the welfare and academic development of students.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with young people and a genuine interest in supporting their educational journey.
  • Experience working with young people (preferably in a secondary school setting) is desirable but not essential.
  • A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A minimum of GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards this).
