Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stage 3 and 4 in local secondary schools. Immediate start / Next term, full-time but term-time only, with weekly pay dependent on experience.

You will help pupils grasp maths, English, science and other subjects, lead small groups, and provide pastoral support in a fast-paced school environment. An enhanced DBS is required or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in schools, tutoring, sports coaching, or volunteering with youth groups.
• Ability to support literacy, numeracy or subject-specific work in small groups or 1:1 sessions.
• Willingness to obtain or hold an enhanced DBS check for safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead small breakout groups or 1:1 sessions for literacy, numeracy, or GCSE coursework.
• Work with teachers to manage classroom dynamics and support SEND learners.
• Provide pastoral care to support emotional regulation and social skills in students.
• Assist with exam access by acting as a reader or scribe during mock exams and assessments.

Your Role as an Educational Mentor
